President's Welcome

Welcome to the website of the Nebraska Chapter of ASHRAE.  It is my pleasure to serve as president of the chapter for the 2007-2008 year.

 

ASHRAE is the world’s foremost society in the fields of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration.  Its members worldwide identify needs, support research and write the industry standards for testing and practice.

 

As a local chapter, we strive to support the goals of the society through education, research, and promotion of quality design and building practices.  These goals are carried out through:

 

●   Monthly meetings in Omaha and Lincoln to provide updates on the latest technologies from some of the leading professionals in the HVAC field

 

●   Money given to research through various fund raising opportunities throughout the year

 

●   Seminars on topics of current interest in the industry

 

●   Mentoring students and making scholarship funds available

 

●   Access to the national society via their website (www.ashrae.org)

 

 

I would like to personally invite you to attend the Omaha meetings held at Anthony’s restaurant on the second Tuesday of each month and/or the Lincoln meetings held at Valentino’s, 35^th & Holdrege, on the second Wednesday of each month.  Complete information about the programs can be found in the current month’s register using the link on this webpage.

 

In addition to the educational opportunities afforded, professional development hours (PDH) are offered to those who attend the monthly meetings and the seminars held at various times throughout the year.
